The North American Hindu Association was founded in 1984 to address the need for a religious award for the Cub Scouts program. It has since evolved into an organization that provides information about Hinduism to other scouting organizations.

The North American Hindu Association offers two sets of awards. 

The Dharma Awards and

The Karma Awards.

Both are non-sectarian and non-denominational Hindu religious awards.  You do not have to belong to any group or a temple. 

Our awards have been approved for use within the following programs:

Boy Scouts of America	Girl Scouts of the U.S.A.
